"I'm to Blame" is fairly simple in concept, a man looking himself in the mirror and admitting to his faults. But what makes the record shine, is the fact that the image feels natural for Moore. Unlike past efforts from Justin Moore and Brantley Gilbert that try to portray the artists as rebels, but in the end make them look like idiots, "I'm to Blame" feels like a natural confession. Kip feels at home singing it, and injects with personality, and just the right amount of grit.
As always, the vocals are strong, the production is rock-tinted yet still planted within the country genre, and the melody is engaging. Kip Moore is one of the finest artists on the mainstream scene right now, and "I'm to Blame" is certainly another fine single.
